​Post: Machine Shop Team Leader - CNC Miller / Turner & Programmer

This role will be based at our Swadlincote factory working in our dedicated machine shop.
We are offering a permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We’re looking for a self-motivated person to run our busy Machine Shop, consisting of two Hurco TM8 Lathes and two VM1/10 Milling machines. This involves organising the workload around yourself and another Machinist, ensuring parts are completed on schedule.

The ideal candidate should be experienced with CNC machining & programming, including milling and 2-axis turning centre lathe work, predominately using stainless steel. In this role you will be manufacturing various machine components such as shafts, brackets, spacers and precision assemblies.

 

Salary:
Up to £21.85 per hour + regular overtime

 

Requirements and skills:

• Experience in a Management or Team Leader role.

• At least five years’ experience working with and programming CNC lathes / Milling Machines.

• Hurco TM8 Lathe & VM10 Milling machine experience preferred but not essential.

• Be able to machine one-off prototype components.

• Be confident working with tight tolerances

• Experience working with various materials, predominately stainless steel.

• Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.

• The ability to work well as part of a team but also be able to work well under own initiative.

• Must have legal right to work in the UK.
