The Company.

The appointment of a Financial Controller who will take responsibility for the company finance function is offered on a fulltime basis, and candidates should be flexible in taking on other company responsibilities when required, to join a successful SME sized business based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. Isoma Ltd specialises in design, manufacture and installation of conveying & specialist handling equipment for the food, beverage & pharmaceutical industry. The Job.


The role will be based at our Swadlincote offices working alongside our existing Office/ Accounts Administrator, whom you will have supervisory responsibility over.  Reporting to the board of directors, as Financial Controller, you will ensure that the financial data is prepared in a timely and accurate manner, you will be responsible for producing Month-end Management Accounts, Preparing Budgets, Financial Forecasts and Variance Analysis reports to present to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities.


  • Oversee the smooth running of the monthly accounts preparation

  • Report accounts directly to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis with full analysis including P & L and Balance Sheet

  • Preparation of detailed weekly/ monthly Cash Flow Forecasts

  • Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts

  • Ensure the day to day running of the purchase and sales ledgers

  • Work directly with suppliers for 30 and 60 day accounts

  • Manage one office/ accounts team member on a daily basis, assisting them where necessary

  • Close all ledgers for month end

  • Oversee the weekly payroll for processing by external Accountants

  • Prepare weekly/ monthly WIP reports, developing a system to suit the business

  • Liaise with company external Accountants to assist with tax returns and P32 payments

  • Manage project budgets and invoices

Post: Technical Sales Engineer

To join ISOMA at our Swadlincote, Derbyshire based facility, specialising in conveying & specialist handling equipment for the food, beverage & pharmaceutical industry


The role will be based out of our Swadlincote offices working alongside our existing design, mechanical, electrical and automation departments, to gain knowledge and experience of all ISOMA machinery and services.

In this role you will be working on tenders for existing customers, as well as having autonomy in developing new business, developing ISOMA machinery and services into new industry sectors. You will be the main point of contact to ensure the different departments seamlessly communicate to achieve a tailor made bid proposal in line with customer specifications.

Using your industry experience in engineering, you will need to be able to effectively communicate and understand what the best solutions are for the customer’s needs. Your working week will be a combination of working on quotations and tender documents, liaising with the design teams, providing support of the current customer base on a commercial and technical basis via regular site visits and meetings.


The successful candidate for this role would have the following:

  • Several years technical Mechanical/Electrical/Controls industry experience within the Food & Beverage, Process and Pharmaceutical would be highly advantageous.

  • Demonstrated examples of being involved in the full life cycle of projects.

  • Confidence in being customer facing.

  • Effectively communicate and work well with both engineering and non-engineering minds.

  • Have experience in tendering and providing quotations to suit customer requirements.

  • Excellent documentation skills with proven examples of previous technical sales experience.
