3D Laser Site Scanning

Isoma offers detailed site surveys for use within our designs and for design reviews both internally and on site with our clients. We utilise the latest laser scanning equipment as part of our service for projects of all sizes.
Laser scanning allows the mass capture of information within a factory very quickly compared to traditional surveying techniques. It is also highly accurate and can be referenced within our software to create 3D models alongside the point cloud information.
Surveying:
-
Laser scan surveys produce 3D point clouds for use in 3D modelling packages.
-
Laser scanning is fast, efficient, non-intrusive and cost-effective.
-
It ensures the seamless integration of equipment.
-
Installation work can be optimised, having already identified problematic areas with early scanning.
-
Surveys can be carried out in all of our sectors including pharmaceutical, food and beverage and warehousing.
3D Site Models:
-
We produce 3D models of existing sites including equipment and civil structures.
-
Clash detection is essential for new and existing equipment to minimise errors in design and manufacture.
-
Site scans can be used for reviewing access and safety on site.
2D Site Layouts:
-
Using laser scanning information to create new or 'as built' plan layouts in AutoCAD.
-
The modification of existing site layouts to include new equipment and civils work.
-
Proposal drawings are created from existing drawings and scans.
Digital Twins:
-
From a comprehensive laser-scanned environment, a 3D virtual representation of the conveyor or packaging line can be created.
-
Facility and asset management (lifecycle management) is made possible by capturing existing information for use in maintenance.
-
A digital twin can be used for simulation and analysis, testing, monitoring and improving efficiencies.
