Vaccine Filling Line

An automated vaccine filling line is a closed, pharmaceutical conveyor system that sterilises, fills, labels, bags and seals bottles or containers with zero human contact to guarantee complete sterility. High-end configurations can process hundreds of units per minute while adhering to strict global regulatory manufacturing standards.

Our bespoke ‘turnkey’ pharmaceutical bulk liquid and automatic bagging line was created in conjunction with industry-specific process engineers for use in sanitary cleanroom environments. The process equipment contains everything required to fill empty bottles/containers, sanitise them, apply specific labels, load them into vacuum-sealed bags, seal them, turn them to the correct orientation, as well as weigh them all prior to being loaded onto a trolley before transportation.

Empty bottles/containers arrive at the filling line either by conveyor system or on trolleys. Usually, for the volume of bottle/containers initially manually filled, trolleys are sufficient, but the system allows growth to incorporate a conveyor system and accumulation in the future.

The bottles are then filled through tubes, that have valves already fitted, which uses a clamp and crimp system to hold the filling tubes in position and clamp them until filling is completed then releases them so they can continue the conveyor.

A vision system identifies each bottle/container and holds it in position to have a unique coded label applied. Once passed this section the bottles can be turned to be bagged in the correct orientation.

Bottles/containers are lifted via a mechanical head clamp that raises them, so they are above the open bags they’re going to be placed into.

Bags are loaded ‘cassette’ style into a trolley that then locates back into the bagging area. The bags are lifted via a suction head, re-orientated and held in place fully open so the bottles/containers are lowered into the bags where the air is removed and the top-strip heat sealed and excess removed. The excess is dropped into a side chute where the waste can be collected and disposed of as required.

Key Operational Benefits:

  • Fully automated bulk filling, labelling and bagging conveyor system.

  • Used in the pharmaceutical industry within cleanrooms for bulk liquid filling.

  • Minimised manual handling in the entire process.

  • Easily integrated expandable system for rapid growth and product demand.
